PESHAWAR, September 6: Ten more polio cases have surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and FATA region, health and administration officials say.

The administration officials say the fresh victims of the crippling disease are eight-month old Aawais of Bara, 18-month old Sabir, 18-month old MISS Hafsa and one-year-old Hamza.

In South Waziristan Agency, two-year old Saeeda and 18-month old Fawad have been diagnosed with polio while one-year old Muntazir and three-and-half-year-old Asma were affected in Bannnu.

On 5 September, five polio cases were reported from FATA region. This year the number of polio cases has reached 137 in the country, and most of the affected children hail from the tribal region.
