PESHAWAR, 14 December: Peshawar Police have arrested a 14-member gang involved in robberies and theft in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of the country.

SSP Operations Dr Mian Saeed told media persons on Sunday that snatched vehicles and motorcycles have also been recovered from the arrested criminals. He said the incidents of vehicle lifting and mobile snatching were increasing in Peshawar after which a committee headed by SP City Haji Imtiaz was formed to nab the group. He said the police team successfully nabbed the gang.

Mr Saeed said the gang was formed in the jail and its members started their criminal activities after release from the jail.

Meanwhile, Thall Police in Hangu have recovered a person who was kidnapped from Peshawar. Police have also arrested the kidnappers and the lifted vehicle.
