MIRANSHAH, September 23: Security forces claim to have killed 19 more militants in North Waziristan tribal region.
The Inter-Services Public Relations says in a statement that jetfighters bombed several hideouts of militants in Ghulam Khan and Push Ziarat areas at evening on 23 September.
Meanwhile, a roadside bomb hit a security forces’ convoy in Boya tehsil, leaving one soldier dead and two others injured.
Thousands of families have been displaced from North Waziristan since the Pakistan Army launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb in the tribal agency. Many displaced families have started protests, demanding their repatriation to their native areas cleared by military operation.
