WANA: 23 sacks of pine nuts were robbed from a storage facility late night on Thursday in South Waziristan, police said.
The affected traders had filed First Investigation Report (FIR) in Wana police station against unknown persons. The robbers wearing masks on their faces had entered into the warehouse of pine-nuts and snatched mobile phones and cash from the watchman and other persons present at the occasion.
The robbers collected 23 large bags, each of 40 kilograms, of pine-nuts and fled in a double cabin pickup, an eyewitness told police. He added that the looted pine-nuts were worth of around Rs. 12 million that belonged to different traders of the areas.
While talking to reporters the traders have have threatened to block main highway if the culprits were not apprehended.
