QUETTA, 30 June: Armed clash between two separatist groups in border area of Kohlu and Dera Bugti districts in Balochistan has left at least 25 persons dead and over a dozen others injured.
The clash took place near Pir Suri Darbar area on Monday where the rival militant groups fired rockets on each other and then exchanged heavy fire. The exchange of fire continued till late night.
Independent sources told TNN that 25 persons were killed from both sides and over a dozen others sustained injuries. The sources added that the number of casualties might increase further.
Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has confirmed 20 deaths in the clash. The security forces and rescue teams arrived in the area in the morning on Tuesday.
