PESHAWAR, 21 November : Police say at least 27 people were killed while 35 others were injured in a suicide attack inside a Shia mosque in capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, on Monday.

Local police said the bomber was on foot and blew himself up among crowds inside the building of the mosque. However no has claimed responsibilty for the attack as yet.

Afghan Taliban, the main insurgent force in Afghanistan, have distanced themselves from the attack.

“We condemn this blast,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the BBC. “This act cannot be our work and has nothing to do with us.”
