Patients being examined at the free medical camp in Hangu.

PESHAWAR, 22 April: As many as 400 patients were examined besides they were provided with free medicines at a free medical camp in Sangeerh, Hangu.

The camp, established by Primary Healthcare Initiative, also immunized kids below the age of five years against various diseases.

Talking to the TNN, the coordinator of the camp, Sarfaraz, said that family kits were also distributed among the patients which include: children’s cloth, soap, nail cutter, toys and items essential for maternal healthcare. Those treated at the camp appreciated this bid. “My little daughter and son were not well. I took them in the camp where they are properly treated. We are extremely thankful to the government for sending doctors in our village. As it is a backward area, its people are poor and cannot afford heavy fees of doctors, we urge the government to continue holding such free medical camps at least once a month. This free medical camp is extremely helpful for us,” a beneficiary of the free medical camp said.
