PESHAWAR, September 15: The University of Peshawar has announced the annual results of bachelor examination (third and fourth years).

According to a notification of the university, 40000 students appeared in the examinations and 48% of them passed the examination.

In the Science Group, Ms Hafiza Fatima Rehman of the Jinnah College Peshawar secured first position by getting 497 marks, Ms Aliya Masood of the EPF college got second position with 477 marks while Ms Zainab Iqbal of the Jinnah College stood third by obtaining 476 marks.

In the Arts Group, Ms Wajeeha Riaz and Ms Farhana won first position by getting 420 marks. Ms Ghuncha Shah of Jinnah College and a private student Ms Aabgeena got second position with 414 marks while Ms Asma Qayyum of the Army College of Education got third position by getting 413 marks.

At a ceremony on campus, the students who had secured first position were awarded cash prizes of 5000 rupees each, while shields were given away to the other position holders.
