PESHAWAR, October 30: About 480 students have received master’s degrees in the convocation of session 2012 at the University of Peshawar.
In his address, the Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbadi advised students to work hard in their practical lives and play their due role in the prosperity of the country.
On the occasion, the students were glad to meet their old fellows and termed the convocation day as one of the memorable days of their lives.
A student, Mr Syed Muhammd Aqib, said: “It is happiest day for me today. I want to give a message that the newly admitted students should not waste their time and should work really hard.”
Another student, Ms Ayesha Zahra, said: “I intend to do job in near future and I want to work for the rights of women.”
Another student, Ms Nasiha, said: “I am very happy today and so are my parents. Our country needs industrious and talented people and students must work hard in their respective disciplines.”
The university administration says there were 35,000 students who would receive their degrees but that only 480 students were enrolled at the convocation ceremony of the session-2012.
