KHAR, 09 May: The Forest Department of Bajaur Agency has imparted honeybee-farming training to 49 local tribesmen.
At the completion of the training yesterday, the Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP) programme of the Forestry Department distributed five boxes each of honeybee farming among the trainees.
Talking on the occasion, Bajaur Agency Additional Political Agent Irfanuddin said that strives to find job opportunities for tribal people. “We are planning to distribute 10 boxes of honeybee farming among each beneficiary of the training, so as the business of honeybee farming gets a boost here, bringing a change for positive in the lives of local people,” he said.
The beneficiaries also hailed the decision of the NTFP to give away honeybee farming boxes to them. “They helped us a lot [by imparting us honeybee farming training], it will flourish the honeybee business here,” they hoped.
