MIRANSHAH, September 10: Security forces claim to have killed another 65 militants in the operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan tribal region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the forces killed 35 militants in Datakhel area at morning. Another 30 militants were killed in an action in Shawal area at noon, it said.
The ISPR statement says five hideouts of militants have also been destroyed in the fresh actions of security forces.
The Pakistan Army launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb against local and foreign militants in North Waziristan in June and it has led to displacement of thousands of families to other areas of the country, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The report cannot be verified independently because the media teams are not allowed into North Waziristan during the operation and the only sources of news is ISPR.
