PESHAWAR: A senior lawyer Muhammad Khurshid on Saturday filed a writ petition at the Peshawar High Court seeking dismissal of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s leader Amanullah Haqqani’s petition against Bus Rapid Transit project.

The petitioner adopted that the JUI-F leader was playing politics over the project, adding that problems being faced by the commuters were temporary.

He said that the project would improve accessibility after completion and people would find a comfortable and cheap transport facility.

He urged the court to dismiss the petition of JUI-F leader. A writ filed by the JUI-F leader has been pending before the PHC against the BRT project seeking the court to stop work on it.
