ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday took suo motu notice of the killing of 20 people in Balochistan whose bullet-riddled bodies were found in areas of Turbat and Buleda few days back.

A press release issued by the Supreme Court said that the men who lost their lives were brought to the province by human traffickers with the intention of making them cross the Pak-Iran border illegally.

Justice Nisar has called for a detailed report on the matter from Balochistan’s inspector general of police and the director of Federal Investigation Bureau within three days.

The chief justice has asked both departments to inform the court about “the steps being taken to curb such incidents in future.”
