PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) says it will ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Eidul Fitr.
The power distribution company made the announcement after a meeting at the Wapda House on Wednesday. The meeting chaired by Pesco Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Amjad Khan reviewed arrangements for smooth power supply during the Eid days.
The meeting decided that the technical staff would remain on duty round the clock to meet any emergency situation.
The Pesco chief directed the staff take all possible steps to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to the customers. He directed them to issue necessary equipment to the field staff for immediate restoration of power supply in case of any fault.
The consumers were also asked to contact the officials of relevant circles in case of any emergency.
Power supply situation under the areas covered by Pesco has improved during last few days after a meeting between KP Chief Minister Justice (R) Dost Muhammad Khan and the Pesco chief. Earlier, the people were facing immense hardships due to prolonged loads-hedding in Ramazan.
The chief minister had directed the Pesco chief to resolve the matter and ensure smooth supply of electricity during Ramazan, Eid and afterwards till the general elections.
