SWAT, 2 December: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak laid the foundation stone of 84 megawatts Mataltan power project in Kalam area of Swat on Friday.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was also present on the occasion. Pervaiz Khattak said the project will be completed in four years and it will cost Rs12 billion. He also announced to launch more projects which will generate 600 megawatts electricity.

The chief minister said Rs500 million have been approved for reconstruction work in Kalam which will begin in March next year.

Imran Khan said in his address that this will be the largest power project of the provincial government which will generate revenue and create job opportunities.
