PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister on Education took notice of teachers’ absence from schools in recently merged tribal areas and warned them of strict action if they failed to resume their duties forthwith.

The advisor on Elementary and Secondary Education Ziaullah Bangash directed Director Education through a notification to provide complete details of all teachers in merged areas serving in government schools.

The director was asked to direct all teachers who have been absent since long to immediately resume their duties, failing which strict disciplinary action would be taken. The matter may be treated as most urged, the notification read.
