HARIPUR, 27 July: An accountability court handed over Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Haripur Tauhid-ul-Haq, who was arrested on Tuesday for making illegal assets, to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on twelve-day physical remand.

DFO Tauhid Lahaq is accused of having  illegal assets worth Rs. 28 millions.

NAB spokesperson Salma Begum has said that not only the DFO but his children also had plots, bungalows and vehicles in their names. She said these illegal assets far exceed the known income sources of the accused.

She maintained that Tauhid has remained on several significant posts in Forest Department.
