PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Acting Governor Mushtaq Ghani has taken notice of maltreatment of a student by an officer of the University of Agriculture, Peshawar.
The acting governor took notice of the reports that a university administration officer after an argument pushed a student, tore his clothes and showed him and his friends a gun threatening them of dire consequences if they told anyone about the incident. Mr Ghani has ordered probe into the incident with the direction that all facts about the incident should be revealed.
The acting governor said such incidents in educational institutions would not be tolerated. He assured that strict punishment will be awarded to people involved in indiscipline and creating chaos.
Mushtaq Ghani, who was elected new speaker of KP Assembly few days ago, is serving as acting governor after resignation of Iqbal Zafar Jhagra.
