KHAAR, 20 December: The political administration of Bajaur Agency has decided to reopen 19 shops in Inayat Kally Bazaar which were closed nine months ago by security forces.

Owners of the shop continued their efforts for reopening of the shops which were closed by the administration under the collective responsibility clause of Frontier Crime Regulations in March this year following an attack on Frontier Corps (FC) convoy in which a soldier was killed in the area.

A jirga comprising former governor Engineer Shaukatullah and tribal elders met and assured the Political Agent Amir Khattak, Commandant Bajaur Scouts Colonel Nayyar Zaman for their full support in maintaining peace in the region.

As result of successful talks, the political agent issued orders to reopen the shops.

Meanwhile, shop owners expressed contentment over reopening of the shops and thanked the political administration and FC officials for paying attention to their long standing problem.
