GHALANAI, 3 November:  Alamger Khan, a student from Mohmand Agency has bagged third position in a national photography contest held in Islamabad. The competion was organized by Lok Versa Islamabad the other day.

The theme set for this contest was water and students from across the country submitted their photographs for contest.  First and second position was bagged by students from Sindh and Punjab while third bagged by  Alamgeer Khan who captured a photograph of a girl carrying drinking water on donkey.

He told TNN that he got encouraged by this award and wanted to show the plight of tribal people through the lens of camera.

“We can better project the plight of tribal people if we are provided with professional camera and   trainings in photography.  The issue of water scarcity that i  highlighted in a picture that earned me an award is very common in tribal area” he told TNN.

Alamgeer Khan had also bagged third position in the National Geographic Photo camp while producing photographs on the issue of education in FATA.
