PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Muqam on Thursday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Peshawar.

At the NAB office, officials questioned Amir Muqam in connection with corruption charges and owning assets beyond his known sources of income. Amir Muqam is accused by the accountability boy of purchasing properties in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar, in addition to buying agricultural land in Swat, Shangla, and Peshawar districts.

Amir Muqam was earlier granted time after he requested for it, arguing that he was busy in the election campaign.

On Wednesday, third summon was issued to Amir Muqam as he did not appear on first two summons.

The PML-N provincial chief was defeated in recently held general elections in NA-2 constituency of Swat.
