PESHAWAR, 11 November: Yet another patient suspected of having Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever, commonly known as Congo virus has been admitted in the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) raising this years’s Congo patients to 33, officials said.

A doctor on duty told TNN that the 27-year old Muslim, a resident of Bannu, was brought to the facility in the morning but his condition is stable.

According to HMC officials 33 patients with Congo virus have been brought to the hospital since January this year, adding majority of them belonged to Afghanistan. Eleven patients have so far died of the deadly disease.
