PESHAWAR: Awami National Party on Wednesday submitted a resolution at Khyber Pakhtunkwha Assembly and asked the government to issue a clear and comprehensive road map regarding tribal areas merger with the province.

The resolution was submitted by ANP member KP Assembly Shagufta Malik in which she said that no progress could be made on merger since passage of the 25th amendment to the constitution.

The resolution read that the amendment was milestone in history of the country that lead to the merger of tribal areas under administrative control of the federal government with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She criticised the government for failing to issue a road map regarding extension of judiciary, police and other departments to tribal areas.

She demanded that the government must issue a clear and complete plan within three days in this regard so that merger could be completed in its letter and spirit.
