PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday issued show-cause notices to party leaders former senator Afrasiab Khattak and Bushar Gohar over violation of party policies.

The notices were issued by party secretary general Mian Iftikhar Hussain that stated that the activities of Afrasiab Khattak and Bushra Gohar were against the party policies and constitution.

It added that their activities have badly damaged the party’s interests. The ANP asked both the leaders to submit replies to notices within seven days, otherwise action would be taken against them.

Though no proper reason has been given in the notice as to how they are harming the party, however, Afrasiab Khattak and Bushra Gohar have been actively supporting Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement’s cause and promoting their cause on social media as well as attend their gatherings.

While ANP, reportedly, distance itself from PTM and considered PTM a threat to its politics.
