PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan said on Wednesday that the party will continue its election campaign after observing three-day peaceful mourning over the death of party leader Haroon Bilour along with 20 other party activists in the Peshawar blast.

Talking to media persons at the residence of the deceased Haroon Bilour in Peshawar, Asfandyar Wali Khan said the ANP will never leave the election arena open for its opponents. He said the ANP will contest the 2018 general elections and will emerge victorious.

The ANP chief said Haroon Bilour was like a brother to him and he is extremely saddened by his death. He said the Bilour family has offered many sacrifices for Pakhtuns which will be remembered for ever. He said Haroon Bilour has now sacrificed his life for Pakhtuns after his father Bashir Ahmed Bilour. He said the Bilour family is being targeted because in presence of Bilours no one can occupy Peshawar.

He dared the ‘enemy’ to come forward and counter the ANP if it has the courage to do so.
