PESHAWAR, 20 March: A Seven-day anti-polio vaccination campaign has kicked off in six districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday amid tight security arrangements.
Police Emergency Operation Center coordinator Muhammad Akbar Khan said that the campaign will be carried out in Peshawar, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Abbottabad and Mansehra districts. During seven-day anti polio vaccination, more than 1350000 children under age of give will be administered anti-polio drops.
Meanwhile, a three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign also begins in parts of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
According to FATA anti-polio department, EOC, the campaign will be carried out in Bajauar, Mohmand, Orakzai and Kurram Agency and FR Peshawar and Kohat. According to EOC, more than 552014 children will be administered polio vaccination during the three-day anti-polio drive.
A seven-day anti-polio will be carried out in the remaining agencies and frontier regions.
