LANDIKOTAL, 6 August: The political administration of Khyber Agency has announced to start second shift of first year in the Government Degree College for 350 students who failed to get admissions in colleges.
Assistant Political Agent Tayyeb Abdullah told TNN that expanses of these students will be paid from the political agent’s fund. Official sources said most students of Khyber Agency remained deprived of admissions in Lankikotal College due to limited seats.
The residents and tribal elders of this border town showered praise on Tayyeb Abdullah for approving second shift in the college. They termed it a step in the right direction, providing an opportunity to the local students to get education.
They suggested the political administration of other tribal agencies to take cue from APA Tayyab Abdullah so that the tribal youth could be provided with an opportunity to get education. They said this is the best way of utilising government funds.
