QUETTA, 27 June: The Apex Committee of Balochistan has offered olive branch to those Baloch insurgents willing to renounce violence and surrender their arms.

The committee, headed by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, while reviewing implementation of National Action Plan here on Friday, announced amnesty plan for insurgents.

Balochistan Minister for Home Affairs Sarfaraz Bugti, Commander Southern Command Lt-Gen Nasir Janjua, chief secretary, general commanding officer, inspector general Frontier Corps, inspector general of police and other government officials were also present in the meeting.

The meeting also decided to get the madaris registered by the provincial education department. The committee reached the conclusion to consult federal government regarding policy on Afghan refugees.
