PESHAWAR, 3 November: The appointment of chairmen of eight boards of intermediate and secondary education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been challenged in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).

Former chairman of Technical Board Nasir Ali has filed a petition in the court with the plea that the appointments were made on political basis, which should be declared void. The petitioner said rules and regulations were also violated in the appointment of the chairmen of the education boards.

The court while hearing the case on Thursday sought reply from the provincial education department on the next hearing.
