PESHAWAR, 16 December: Class-8 student Asad Aziz, who was a resident of Faqirabad area of Peshawar, was also among the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) terrorist attack.
Shahid Aziz, brother of Shaheed Asad Aziz, says, “My brother was very dear to our family. He loved sports and birds. He has left behind a lot of memories.”
Shahid Aziz told TNN that the memories of his brother Asad Aziz, who was martyred in terrorist attack on the APS exactly one year ago, are still fresh in his mind. He said his brother’s memories will remain alive in his heart for ever. He said his martyred brother was in a hurry on 16 December, 2014 and he did not see him after the dinner on 15 December.
“My cousins say Asad was in a hurry on 16 December and he was saying that he was getting late for the school. I did not see my brother on that morning,” Shahid Aziz said. He said Asad loved cricket and wanted to join the Pakistan Army in the future.
“He was very fond of cricket and used to play the game with cousins,” Shahid said.
Although a year has passed since the heinous incident but Shahid says the incident is right in front of him as it has happened just now. He also complained that the federal government has not shared the grief of his bereaved family.
“We are somewhat satisfied with the response of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, but the federal government has never come to us to see what we are going through,” he said.
TNN also wanted to talk to Asad Aziz’s parents but they were not in condition to speak to anyone as they are still in deep shock and grief.
