MIRANSHAH, September 20: An official of the Pakistan Army and three militants have been killed in a clash during the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan tribal region.
The Inter-Services Public Relations says the incident took place in Boya tehsil during the military action where three militants and a army Subedar, Mr Muzammil, were killed.
Meanwhile, Pakistani media have quoted the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan saying one of their commanders, Mr Muhammad Hassan, had also been killed during the Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The army has been engaged in the operation in North Waziristan since June this year. The operation has led to displacement of thousands of families who are now either living in relief camps or with relatives or rented houses in various areas.
