PESHAWAR, 29 May: Aslam Afridi, a young cricketer from Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency, has set a record of taking 10 wickets in a single inning in Grade-II Cricket Tournament.

Held under the aegis of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) at Jamrud Sports Complex yesterday, Islam Gul set the record while playing against Bajaur team.

While talking to TNN, Aslam Afridi said he was very happy over this achievement and he will make further endeavours to show good performance in future as well.

“Every player who enters the playground wants to show good performance. For a bowler it is a big achievement to bowl out the all players of the rival team. I am thankful to Allah that I did it. I’ve got the fruit of my hard work. I will continue working hard to prove myself a good player. In Grade-II tournament I got 21 wickets playing only two matches,” he said.
