PESHAWAR, 2 November: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary has taken notice of poor condition of graveyards, including that of minorities, in Charsadda, Mardan and Peshawar and directed the Auqaf Department to improve the condition of these graveyards.

According to an official statement, the chief secretary has asked the Auqaf department to improve the condition of six graveyards in the three districts within a month. The Auqaf department has been directed to plant trees in the graveyard and construct paths for people travelling to the graveyard. The department has also been asked to colour the boundary walls of the graveyards.

The graveyards of Gora Qabristan, Shamshan Ghat, Rehman Baba and Hazarkhwani have been mentioned in the official statement, while Shahdhand graveyard of Mardan and Prang graveyard of Charsadda have also been mentioned.
