Authorities crack down on bus stands in Battagram

A traffic sergeant of Battagram, MrAmjad Khan,said they took the action on the complaints of local people. He added that the Karakoram Highwayhad been widened after removal of bus stands.

About removal of these stands, a local resident told TNN, “These bus stands would frequently cause traffic jams, due to which people would suffer. Children and patients would suffer in particular.:

The authorities took action against the bus stands after the elders of Ajmeriarea held a jirga and informed a superintendent of police (SP)of the issue.

An elder told TNN, “We thank the administration for taking action against the bus stands as the crackdown has solved several problems.”
