BATTAGRAM, July 23: The administration of Battagram district has formed a force of volunteers to cope with accidents and emergency situations.

TNN correspondent says the district administration convened a meeting, chaired by Battagram Deputy Commissioner Mr Zareef Aleyani at the Government Centennial Model High School.

At the meeting, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Civil Defence and child protection organisations offered their volunteers to the administration.

A drama was also presented to the meeting participants, showing significance of tackling emergency situations. “It’s a very good step of the administration as various stakeholders met and did an exercise, which depicted how to access affected areas during emergency situations for assisting the victims,” said one of the training participants.
