PESHAWAR, 13 May: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf’s Azam Swati has made it to the Senate by winning by-election on a seat of the Upper House of the Parliament today.

The seat fell vacant due to the death of Awami National Party’s senator Muhammad Azam Khan. Swati bagged 71 votes while Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl’s Haji Ghulam Ali polled 41 votes.
