QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly Saturday passed a unanimous resolution against Altaf Hussain, the chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, for his remarks against Pakistan Army and demanded of the federal government to take action against him.

The assembly session was chaired by Deputy Speaker Abdul Qadoos Bizinjo. The resolution was tabled by provincial Home Minister and PML-N lawmaker Sarfaraz Bugti.

The resolution stated that Altaf Hussain in his speech used derogatory words for Pakistan Army which comes under treason. The Balochistan Assembly, through the resolution demanded of the federal government to take action against Altaf Hussain.

Sarfaraz Bugti said Pakistan Army has rendered great sacrifices for the country but such statements demoralize them. The resolution also stated that the entire Karachi city was hijacked by a single party and action should be taken against such elements.

It merits mention that two days ago Altaf Hussain in his speech criticized Pakistan Army, however later he also made public apology for his remarks.
