BANNU, 6 November: District government has sealed around 112 filling stations during a a crackdown launched against illegal patrol pumps around the district.

The crackdown was launched on directions of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Asghar.

Officials at the administration said that the action was taken after receiving complaints regarding mushrooming growth of fillings stations without fulfilling legal requirements.

Teams comprising of officials of district administration conducted raids on various filling stations and ordered to seal after its owners failed to produce valid documents.
