PESHAWAR, November 17: The Al-Khidmat Foundation has distributed food items to 100 families displaced from Bara, Khyber Agency.

The Foundation is a social welfare wing of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), which is a coalition partner in the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The foodstuff was distributed at the relief camp set up by the Foundation on Ring Road, Peshawar for the families displaced as a result of operation in Khyber Agency. The package included pulses, ghee and flour.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr Abdul Wahid, appreciated the distribution of relief items among affected families and said other organisations should also follow suit.

“The foodstuff that we have received today is enough for a week. Hopefully, Almighty Allah will help us. We demand the government to help the IDPs of Bara, just like it helped the IDPs of North Waziristan,” he added.
