PESHAWAR, 26 November: After the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also written a letter to its government seeking approval for the proposed cricket series with Pakistan.

The BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur told media persons Wednesday that they were prepared to play one-day and Twenty20 series with Pakistan in Sri Lanka next month subject to approval by the ministry of external affairs. He said a letter in this regard has been sent to the ministry.

The heads of PCB and BCCI during a meeting in Dubai on Sunday agreed that Pakistan will host the series in Sri Lanka. The PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan has also sent a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for approval of the Pak-India cricket series in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the PCB has clarified that its Indian counterpart had not asked for a share in revenue from the proceedings of the cricket series.
