PESHAWAR, 18 October: Famous Pashto folk singer Wagma who is suffering from stomach cancer has appealed to the government to pay for her treatment.

Wagma 38, hailing from Mina Kili in Swabi district has been admitted in  Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar for cancer treatment. She is mother of six and has hundreds of albums to her credit.  She has thousands of fans across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to her sweat voice.

While talking to TNN, she complained that though she had served Pashtu language for a long time, the government was negligent to her health condition. “I have served  Pashtu language and our country as I am the daughter of the soil. I have no money and property to pay for my treatment. I appeal to the government to provide me treatment against cancer and in return I will always pray for it.
