QUETTA, 11 November: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Tuesday imposed ban on protests and strikes by the government employees.

A two-member bench of the BHC headed by Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Maskanzai observed that the protests by doctors, teachers and other government officials cause problems for the general public. The bench observed that anyone who has any complaint should approach the courts through the constitutional procedure.

The BHC asked the heads of the government departments to act against employees involved in strikes. It said the departmental heads who failed to take action against people involved in strikes and protests will face the court action.
