Bike riders promoting tourism reach Bara from Lahore

KHYBER: With the aim of promoting tourism, three bike enthusiasts reached Khyber from Lahore on Thursday.

Organized by K2 Kings Tourists association, Assistant Commissioner Bara, Kashif Qayyum and traders of the tehsil have extended a warm welcome to the bike riders at Tehsil building. The assistant commissioner Bara has informed him about the past situation in the tribal districts and the efforts made by the people and security forces for the restoration of durable peace in the district.

The rally was comprised of three riders known as the Chairman of the association, Colonel retired Sohail Yousaf, its president Ali Ahmad Tahir, and executive member Amir Salim Shah. The president of the association Ali Ahmad while talking to the media said that the aim of the association is working for the promotion of tourism industry of the country which is badly affected due to wars in the region.

He added that they have planned to visit every part of their country on their motorcycles to show the world that Pakistan is a peace loving country. Tahir maintained that since 2019 is observed as the year of tourism in Pakistan, everyone should make efforts to restore tourism in the country. He said that was why today early in the morning, they started the journey on motorcycles to reach to the historical Khyber District from Lahore. The three members of the association have started their journey at am from the Lahore.

After a brief stay in Tehsil Bara, the members of the association under the gaudiness of local elders and representatives of Member National Assembly Iqbal Afridi left on Motorcycle for the scenic Tirah valley. They will visit different spots of the valley and finally, on March 23 they will participate in a special event in the Tirah.
