PESHAWAR, 5 November: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced the Radio Frequency ID Card System in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar that will ensure the presence of doctors, paramedics and other staff members of the hospital.
The spokesman of Lady Reading Hospital,Jamil Shah said that scanners have been installed in wards and on entry points of the hospital. Each employee has been given a microchip through which their movement is monitored, he said adding employees will be given salaries according to their presence in hospital as the scanners are linked with the Human Resource database of the hospital.
The new gadgets have been installed at a cost of one million rupees. “This will help us overcome the problem of absentees of doctors and other staffers,” remarked Jamil Shah.
Meanwhile, the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) administration has also linked provision of salaries of the doctors and other staff members with the biometric attendance system. HMC spokesman Tauheed said that salaries to employees will be paid according to their biometric attendance from the next month.
