DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The team of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dera Ismail Khan have won the All-Pakistan Inter-Board Taekwondo Championship by securing 90 points.
The DI Khan education board won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals and got the first position in the in championship held in Kohat. The Kohat and Gujranwala education boards were declared joint second position holders with 50 points each. The Lahore board got third position with 35 points.
Luqman Mehsud and Daniyal Mehsud, both hailing from South Waziristan tribal district, won gold and silver medals respectively. It is for the first time that the DI Khan board have got first position in the taekwondo championship. Members of the team have vowed to perform even better in the future events.
