MARDAN, 23 July: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan has announced results for intermediate (first year and second year) exams.

The first three positions in the board exam have been secured by the boys students of Colonel Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi. Muhammad Atif topped the exam with 1,000 marks, Shaharyar Khan got second position with 980 marks, while Muhammad Hamza and Paradise College Shewa student Jawwad Ahmed shared third position with 978 marks.

In the Arts group, Zeeshan Ahmed of Shaukat Memorial Public Higher Secondary School Kalu Khan and Lubna Hussain of Government Degree College Hoti shared first position, Husna of Umul Khair Girls Inter College Menai grabbed second position and Mufeez from the same college got third position.

BISE Mardan Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed said on the occasion that 31,500 male and female candidates took part in the 2nd year exam and 26,000 students passed the exam with 76.12 percent pass percentage. Mushtaq Ahmed said about 33,000 students participated in the 1st year exam and 62 percent students passed the exam.

On the occasion, the top position holder in the exam got cash prize of Rs50,000, second positon holder got Rs45,000 and third positon holder got Rs40,000.

Muhammad Atif, who topped the exam, while talking to TNN dedicated his success to the support of his brother and friend.

“In future, I want to become an engineer. The young students should not waste their time in unfruitful activities and fully concentrate on their studies,” he said.
