BANNU, November 24: Five books of Pashto language and literature have been launched at a ceremony in Bannu district.
Authors and translators of the books were awarded for their services at a ceremony, arranged by Spogmai Literal Union and Urdu Association at the Government High School No 1.
Five books named Singaar da Ghazal, Spogmai, Fun au Shakhsiyat, Da Azgho pa Bistara ki and Da Aman Zeri were exhibited.
In addition, Prof Dr Mohib, Prof Humayun Hamdard, Nadir Khan Aleel, Saleem Qarar and Umer Daraz Marwat attended the gathering, where poets and writers were awarded with souvenirs. Besides, eminent poets from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part in mushaira (poetry recital session) at the end of the event.
Mr Ameer Zaman Ameer, the organiser of the programme, claimed that such gatherings shall be arranged every year to contribute to Pashto language and literature.
