Buner district govt to plant 0.5m saplings on Day of Independence

BUNER: The district government on Sunday announced to celebrate the Independence Day by planting 0.5 million saplings.

Plantation drive has been started from Kangargali village where a large number of villagers planted more than 50,000 saplings on mountains.

Deputy commissioner Buner said that government departments have been tasked 150,000 would be planted on August 14.

Forest and Wildlife departments will plant  50,000, Irrigation, Police and Education departments will plant 10,000 each, Health Department 20,000, Revenue will plant 30,000. Similarly, Social Welfare, Local Government, district nazim and naib nazim will also plant saplings.
