First trade convoy carrying Chinese goods reaches Gawadar via CPEC’s western route

The first ever convoy comprising 75 trucks carrying Chinese exports arrived in Gawadar via the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on Saturday. According to official sources, these goods would be exported to Middle East and African countries through Gwadar port. The convoy reached Pakistan through the Kashghar border on Oct 31 and after travelling through the western route and arrived in Gwadar. Officials added that the second convoy comprising over 100 containers is set to arrive in Gwadar soon.
