Construction work on gate on Pakistani side of the Pak-Afghan border in Torkham has been completed. ANP, JI oppose imposition of tax in Malakand

After the local political parties, the central leadership of the Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have also opposed imposition of tax in Malakand Division. UNFAO distributes sheep among 250 vulnerable families in Bara

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO) started distribution of 250 packages of small ruminants (sheeps) amongst the most vulnerable women in the areas of return in Bara, Khyber Agency on Monday. UNFAO is supporting 250 extremely vulnerable families of Bara, Khyber Agency through restocking of highly producing and adaptable breed of small ruminants (1 male and three female sheep).

Sada-e-Aman program computer operator suspended for ‘involvement’ in immoral activities

Upon receiving complaints from public about his alleged involvement in immoral and illegal activities, a computer operator in the Sada-e-Aman program in Kurram Agency has been suspended, officials said here on Thursday. The complainants Sajid Hussain and Wahid from Sadda and Alizai areas in Lower Kurram had lodged a complaint with the relevant authorities that the computer operator Abdul Basit used to demand money and cold drinks from the returning IDPs as favor for doing their work.

Sipah tribesmen complain survey teams not registering their damaged houses

Tribesmen belonging to Sipah tribe of the Bara subdivision in Khyber Agency have complained their damaged houses were not being registered in the survey carried out in Bara. “Survey teams come to our area, inspect our damaged houses but they do not register them. The government is not paying heed to our miseries,” said a tribesman while talking to TNN.

Girls in Bajaur village deprived of education as primary school remains dysfunctional

The girls primary school in Shangar Gal area of Bajaur Agency is dysfunctional since long due to which the girls of the area are deprived of education. A local student, Kainat told TNN that she loves to go to school but the school is situated far away from her home, while her own school remains closed.
